Use the webcam feature (click the “Take a shot…” link at the right) to take a snapshot and post it on my site for all to see. You should see a flash dialog box asking for permission to access your webcam. Just click ‘allow’ and you should see yourself via your webcam.
If you click “allow” and don’t see anything, you may need to adjust your Flash plug-in settings. More information can be found in this Adobe Help Article.
This flash app/feature is my take on something I saw on Brendan Dawes‘s personal site, “Say Hello“. I in no way take credit for the idea, but I really thought it was a clever alternative to the old guestbook feature found on sites in the 90s. I encourage you to explore Bren’s work – some really, really inspiring stuff.
